Hello, I’m Kevin D. Bower 👋
Senior UX Designer with 8 years of experience.
Still genuinely loving what I do.
I’m based in sunny Los Angeles, originally from Kansas City (Midwest work ethic, West Coast curiosity).
Open to relocation, thoughtful design scales anywhere.
My Philosophy
I’m a Senior UX Designer, artist, and mentor focused on design direction, interaction design, prototyping, and scalable design systems. I specialize in designing complex products and turning ambiguity into clarity through thoughtful, user-centered solutions.
Great design lives at the intersection of user needs, system integrity, and business goals. My role is to connect those dots and shaping experiences that are intuitive for users, practical for teams, and resilient as products evolve. If it’s clear, usable, and built to scale, we’re doing it right.
My background blends user-centered design thinking, industrial design, and technology, allowing me to think both systemically and tactically. I care deeply about how things are built, not just how they look, because maintainable systems lead to better long-term outcomes.
Data Drives Design (Always)
I believe strong design decisions are grounded in research, data, and iteration. Data isn’t a constraint it’s a catalyst that helps teams align, move faster, and design with confidence.
I’m also deeply interested in how AI can responsibly enhance design workflows and product experiences. Used thoughtfully, AI has the potential to reduce friction, improve decision-making, and unlock new creative possibilities, all while keeping humans firmly in the loop.
Work & Education
I currently work at Court Avenue as a Senior UX Designer, where I lead and contribute across the full UX lifecycle, from discovery and information architecture to wire frames, high-fidelity design, and prototyping. I partner closely with product, engineering, and stakeholders to deliver scalable, user-centered experiences that meet high standards for usability, accessibility, and performance.
Previously, I worked at Razorfish, contributing to complex digital products and helping teams ship experiences that balanced creativity with rigor and technical feasibility.
I hold a Master’s degree in Integrated Digital Media (UX/UI Design & Research) from New York University, a BFA in Industrial Design from the University of Kansas, and an Associate’s degree in Automotive Technology and Metal Fabrication. This multidisciplinary foundation informs my systems-level thinking and ability to collaborate across disciplines.
Personal Mission
Outside of design, I’m actively involved in dog rescue and fostering, supporting organizations through adoptions, fostering, and web support. It’s a reminder that empathy, clarity, and care, the same principles behind good design can make a real difference.
Design has the power to amplify voices, reduce friction, and improve everyday experiences. That belief guides my work, whether I’m building digital products or helping a rescue find the right home.
Let’s design something meaningful and scalable together.

Testimonials
Don V.
Vehicle Design - Daimler Truck North America
Kevin’s cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders and feature owners insures a successful UX for any program he faces. His design initiatives merge aesthetics with functionality. During his time with Daimler Trucks of North America, it was critical to create recognizable, easily accessed and activated vehicle features in the digital displays for the drivers of the trucks developed there. His designs and interactions succeeded in simple interfaces with minimal distractions so the operator could continue to concentrate on the job at hand.

Kevin is a champion of the user-centric design approach. He has a relentless focus on usability, and is driven to create familiar and intuitive patterns across industries including automotive, healthcare and financial services. His easygoing manner and genuine partnership approach is great for collaborative teams and clients. Yet, he is excited to learn new things and continually build his skill set. Most recently this has included certifications in generative AI — but I know Kevin will generate many more ways to fuel his contributions in the ever changing experience design discipline.
